ANA's Memorial Walk is held in October each year at the Saratoga Spa State Park at the Columbia Pavilion from 12pm to 4pm. ANA's Memorial Walk is designed to provide comfort to bereaved families and to increase public awareness of the issues of pregnancy loss and infant death. The event is held rain or shine, with the majority of the day's events under cover at the pavilion. The event begins with a walk along a level, paved path accessible by strollers and wheelchairs. A nondenominational memorial service and flower/name reading ceremony follows, remembering babies lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDs and infant death. Participation in the walk is free. The day includes refreshments, activities for children and prizes. Memorial Walk apparel and ANA's exclusive 'Forever in Our Hearts' ornament are available for a minimum donation. Orders can be placed all year here. Each year, families are invited to register for the walk and create their own optional personal fundraising pages. Fundraising helps us to continue to offer our programs free of charge. Registration opens each August.
